The Leitner building is an office building constructed by Estudio Lamela between 2003 and 2007. It was designed to serve as the new headquarters for the renowned architecture firm, marking a transition from their previous location on O'Donnell Street, where Antonio Lamela founded the company.
The building embodies the concept of sustainable architecture, featuring gardens at its base and carefully planned floor layouts that incorporate voids and terraces on each level. This design promotes the use of natural light, airflow, and integration with the surrounding environment. In the reception area, visitors can admire artworks by sculptor and architect Arturo Berned, a close associate and former collaborator of the studio.
studio erreme has created a brief photo documentary of Estudio Lamela's offices in Madrid, highlighting the authentic and casual moments of its employees, diverging from the typical architectural perspective commonly associated with the company.
