The Dalí VIP Lounge is located in Terminal 4 of Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport, the main airport in the country, which was expanded by Estudio Lamela and Richard Rogers between 1998 and 2006.
Designed for the airline Iberia, this VIP space represents a continuation of the company's modernization efforts. It spans an area of 2,000 square meters and accommodates 455 seats. The renovation project has successfully increased the space and capacity of the lounge, allowing for improved interaction and comfort for travelers, particularly given its proximity to the Air Bridge.
The central area has been restructured, and the self-service zone has been positioned around the distinctive "flying saucers," preexisting elements that define the space and house the air conditioning ducts. Furthermore, services such as bathrooms, showers, and beds have been expanded, and amenities like USB connections, power outlets, and Wi-Fi have been added to enhance the comfort of the guests.
studio erreme has meticulously documented the entire space through a comprehensive photographic report for Estudio Lamela, accentuating the significance of the design alterations and showcasing the revitalized central zones. The photographs emphasize the exquisite details and craftsmanship of the redesigned elements, effectively capturing the essence of the space's transformation. The visuals serve as a testament to Estudio Lamela's expertise and ingenuity, highlighting their ability to create visually stunning and functional spaces.
